This will be a high-level talk looking at some of the projects that were initiated in the Hanlon Laboratories. Rather than going into depth on these projects, this talk will instead focus on their significance and impact. Among the projects for discussion: A liquidity project with Dr. Dragos Bozdog, a credit rating project sponsored by UBS, the SHIFT project sponsored by the CME Foundation and Capco, and our newest Robotics Application Integrated Development (RAppID) platform.
Dr. Florescu is a research professor and director of both the Financial Analytics program and the Hanlon Financial Systems Laboratories. He has written four books and served as an editor for four more, has published more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, and has given presentations at conferences and seminars worldwide. Dr. Florescu is the principal investigator for five NSF awards and many other grants, and has a U.S. patent in computer vision.
