    New Ph.D. Student Orientation

    New Ph.D. Student Orientation is held on campus each January for all new doctoral students. This program is designed to prepare you for success by introducing you to Stevens’ distinctive research culture, outlining important policies and expectations, and connecting you with key faculty, staff, and resources across the university.

    Connect with faculty, staff, and current Ph.D. students who will help guide and support you throughout your doctoral journey.

    Explore Cutting-Edge Labs

    Tour specialized laboratories not typically open to the public and learn about ongoing, innovative research taking place at Stevens.

    Important Information

    A detailed agenda and instructions regarding parking and arrival locations will be sent to you as the event approaches. All new Ph.D. students are expected to attend orientation. If you have an extenuating circumstance that prevents you from participating, please email doctoralsupport@stevens.edu as soon as possible.

    After the orientation program, join the Office of Graduate Education and your fellow new Ph.D. classmates at the Howe Center Bowling Alley for a relaxed social gathering. Enjoy time with your new Stevens community and start building meaningful connections right away.
